FAQs

DUBAI

Do I need a visa to visit Dubai?

If you hold a UK, US or Australian passport you will receive a visa on arrival which will be valid for 30 days.

If you hold a different passport please visit this website to consider your visa requirements.

Are there any cultural sensitivities to be aware of in the UAE?

The UAE is a Muslim country so please dress modestly when out in public. A good rule is to cover your knees and shoulders (both for men and women). The rules are different if you are visiting a mosque so please be mindful that you may need to cover up further. Public displays of affection should also be limited, though hand-holding is generally ok.

When should I book my flights and accommodation?

For the best rates, we suggest booking your flights and accommodation as soon as possible, given December is peak tourist season in Dubai.

How much will flights and accommodation cost?

December is the peak season for tourism in Dubai so a moderate estimate for two people staying on the Palm will be around £3,000 for one week (inclusive of flights and accommodation). This will shift based on the accommodation you select and when you book your flights (booking early usually means the best rates).

What is the weather like in December?

December is Winter in Dubai, though not as you know it! Expect 20C/68F temperatures and lots of sun, with nice breezes in the evening. We suggest you pack your Summer clothes with a light jacket / jumper for the evenings.
