AL FAHIDI HISTORICAL NEIGHBOURHOOD | DUBAI
One of our personal favorite spots in Dubai! Explore Dubai's culture, heritage, and architecture at Al Fahidi. Start with breakfast at the Arabian Tea House and head out on foot to explore Al Seef. You can then take a Abra (boat) for 1 dirham to cross the river to the Gold Souk, where you can score some excellent bargains on quality gold jewelry.
BURJ KHALIFA & DUBAI MALL | DUBAI
The world's tallest skyscraper. We recommend booking in advance to lock in your visit for sunset time. Keep an eye out for the fountain show from the top! Alternatively, you can make a reservation at Atmosphere, which is located on level 122 of the Burj Khalifa to take advantage of the views along with delicious food, drinks or afternoon tea.
The Dubai desert safari is one of the most popular tourist activities in the city. You can book your desert experience via GetyourGuide or Viator. Be prepared for a full day out with this one!
ATLANTIS AQUAVENTURE WATERPARK DUBAI
The world's largest waterpark, with over 105 record-breaking slides, attractions, and experiences. We recommend getting there early and grabbing a fast pass to make sure you get through the rides without the queues! Note that if you are staying at Atlantis the Royal or Atlantis the Palm, tickets are included in your stay.
Head to Global Village to experience a unique festival of cultures. With plenty of huge country-themed pavilions and stalls, be prepared for alot of food, shopping (and haggling) and walking - this place is immense!
The Museum of the Future in Dubai is a state-of-the-art institution that showcases emerging technologies and ideas that shape the future. Make sure to book ahead as this one often sells out!
SHEIKH ZAYED GRAND MOSQUE | ABU DHABI
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the world’s largest mosques and a massive architectural work of art that blends different Islamic architectural schools. Be sure to book a slot online prior to your visit (it's free) and to dress appropriately on arrival. Modest, conservative, loose fitting clothing; long sleeves (wrist length), long skirts (ankle length) and trousers.
As one of the premier cultural institutions in the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District on Saadiyat Island, this art lovers’ dream displays works of historical, cultural, and sociological significance from ancient times to the contemporary era. The building itself is also stunning, makes for great photos!
Think of an island with amusement parks galore - find that Ferrari feeling at Ferrari World Yas Island, slide into the ultimate water adventure at Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, meet your favorite characters at Warner Bros. World and discover the 8 realms at SeaWorld World, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Excellent spot for both families and grown-ups!

MAMA'ESH - Authentic Palestinian street food
An excellent spot for breakfast / late lunch. Well priced delicious Palestinian food in a warm atmosphere. You can even grab some Palestinian olive oil to take home!
One of Mona & Tass' go-to date night spots where the food never disappoints. Be sure to try the Matilda cake for a blast from the past!
Zou Zou Turkish & Lebanese Restaurant Dubai Mall
Great spot to watch the fountains if you are in Dubai Mall (or to overlook JBR Beach if you choose the JBR branch). Their breakfast platters are sensational and also great for lunch or dinner!
A never-ending menu with huge portion sizes and multiple locations all across the country. An easy must visit. P.S. don't sleep on the free brown bread, sublime!
A unique café with a drive in style restaurant in Al Wasl be sure to stop by for a Grilled Cheese or Crepe.
Think food court but slightly more 'cool'. Delicious food from a range of cuisines (including Pickl if you're looking for a good burger). Timeout also has a balcony which overlooks the fountains and Burj Khalifa - one of the best spots for photos!
Dubai is situated within easy flying distance of many fantastic destinations if you would like to travel before or after the wedding!
For those wishing to extend their trip within the UAE, we can recommend a day trip to Al Ain to visit the historic forts and the oasis, or a visit to other Emirates such as Ras al Khaimah and Fujairah for a more scenic mountain getaway.
